The Rosebuds is a "place of women who can help you accept your fatigue and trust your limitations, and to know, in the dark of winter, that your energy will return as surely as the spring."
 

The Rosebuds Breast Cancer Support Group started in 1991. Our mission is to provide support for survivors and their female support persons through meetings, speakers and occasional parties. We currently have two groups, Rosebuds I and Rosebuds II. Our Rosebuds I group is open to ALL breast cancer patients/survivors. This group meets on the first Tuesday of the month. Our Rosebuds II group is more specialized and is appropriate for those who have had, or are at high risk for recurrence and/or metastasis. Rosebuds II meet on the second Thursday of each month. In our meetings we discuss medical, emotional, and practical concerns. On the fourth Thursday of the month there is a joint Rosebuds I and Rosebuds II group meeting with occasional guest speakers who provide extra information on topics of interest. Rosebuds I and II also join together for parties and our email listserv. We have an annual holiday party in December, a birthday party in February (celebrating our "survivor" anniversaries), and a pot luck in the summer. Our parties help us celebrate our survival and also help us know each other better. Our aim is to support each other and in so doing lighten each other's burdens.
